Frequently Asked Questions

Erenler Foundation for Knowledge and Service was established in 1997 to earn the pleasure of Allah. In line with its founding purpose, it is committed to opening reputable educational institutions and madrasas. Its fundamental aim is to raise scholars of the Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah creed who do not love this world.

The year 1989 was a rebirth for us. After meeting Sheikh Mahmud Ustaosmanoglu Efendi (may Allah sanctify his secret), a beloved servant of Allah, we understood that life is more than the prison of this world. Our allegiance lies with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the opening of creation, the seal of prophethood and the master of the universe, and with his pure Companions. It also lies with the understanding and path of the scholars, the honored representatives of the Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah, and of the Golden Chain, whose gatherings are light, whose glance is a remedy, and whose words bring healing to the heart.

The aim of Erenler Foundation is to raise scholars and individuals who place the rights of the community above their own; who are aware of being created as servants of Allah; who do not chase the world, yet the world follows them; who admire their past and are taken as role models by the future; who serve not out of obligation but regard service to people and to the Truth as a favor granted to them; who stand firm against injustice and oppression, yet consider bowing before the truth the greatest honor; who understand that learning is for action and action is for Allah; who never lose their faith even if they lose everything else; who hold their sacred values dear; who are loyal, generous, respected, courteous, principled, selfless and high-minded; who fulfill their worldly responsibilities better than anyone, yet do not love the world; who strive for the advancement of society along with their own; who believe that poverty is no obstacle to being a true human being; who are teachers not only of their own place and time but of all times and places; and who work to build the intellect that gives faith its power to act. To this end, the Foundation opens reputable educational institutions and madrasas.
