In our understanding, “One without loyalty has no religion.” That Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), who said, “I would be the servant of anyone who taught me a single letter,” became a wellspring of wisdom and a treasury of knowledge is the fruit of this.
A tree torn from its roots cannot bear fruit. Whatever age they lived in, everyone who helped us arrive in the present with faith and fairness is, for us, like a sacred monument. They deserve our utmost respect and reverence. They are the loved ones and elders without whom we could not even imagine entering Paradise.
Regarding this outlook as an indispensable condition of being human, we consider it a duty of faith to remember with gratitude, both during their lives and after their passing, everyone who led or helped in the upbringing of ourselves, our teachers, and our students, and in the building and upkeep of our foundation and association activities. Apart from betrayal of the cause, no fault can justify forgetting the kindness and support we have received.
We consider it a duty to remember our dear friends who devoted their lives to Islamic education, and in doing so added life to Islam, in every prayer, after every khatm-i khajagan, and with the Qur’an completions and Surah Yasin recited after every Friday prayer.
Our Ismailaga Ahde Vefa Association was founded solely for this purpose; commemorations are held on the anniversaries of the passing of our departed teachers and elders, and Qur’an completions are recited for them.
