2025 Qira'at and Ashara Taqrib Ijazah Ceremony

Alhamdulillah...

By the grace and bounty of our Lord, we have lived another blessed day in the service of the Qur'an. Our 35 students studying Ashara Taqrib at our foundation received their ijazah certificates on July 27, 2025, and shared the joy of advancing in this blessed science. Our ijazah ceremony, with its Qur'an recitations, prayers, and moments full of affection, brought peace to our hearts and spirituality to our souls.

Our Honorary President Mahmut Eren Hocaefendi, the Chief of Reciters (Reisü'l-Kurra) Mustafa Demirkan Hocaefendi, Salih Topçu Hocaefendi, and many esteemed scholars honored our ceremony with their presence. The families and friends of our students, along with many members of the public, also witnessed this blessed occasion.

Allah the Almighty says in the Holy Qur'an:

"Indeed, this Qur'an guides to the most upright path..." (Al-Isra, 9)

And our Master (peace be upon him) said:

"The best among you are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it." (T2907 Tirmidhi, Fadail al-Qur'an, 15)

Ashara Taqrib is a distinguished science that teaches the subtleties of the Qur'anic recitations, the differences between transmissions, and the etiquette of recitation. Our students trained in this science take on the duty of preserving both the wording and the meaning of the Qur'an, and become a link in this luminous chain that reaches from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) to our day.

Praise be to our Lord that we have been made a means for many students to be raised in Hifz and Qira'at. Behind this service lie a love of knowledge free of show, an effort kneaded with sincerity, and the intention to benefit the Ummah. As we walk this path, we hope for our Lord's pleasure at every step, and we feel in our hearts the honor of serving His Word.

Our prayer is that all our brothers and sisters who devote their hearts to this path of knowledge be illuminated by the light of the Qur'an, and that our huffaz and our students of Qira'at become a light to the hearts of the Ummah.

"The heart that carries the Qur'an becomes a light in the shade of the Highest Throne."
