It is Almighty Allah, who created the universe from nothing, who has shown us how peace and solidarity among people are to be established, and who has made known the places and responsibilities of the elder and the young, the woman and the man, the official and the civil servant. In our time, people are drifting ever further from this knowledge, and all goals and aims are tied entirely to material things. We believed that someone had to spread their arms like scissors and cry out, “STOP, CROWDS, THIS ROAD IS A DEAD END,” setting things on the right course against the current. With these thoughts, in the hope of raising a generation that “does not step on the ground without wudu,” we said BISMILLAH and set out to revive our madrasas, which come from our ancient tradition. Our goal is to form exemplary Muslim character: in our madrasas, we strive to teach what benefits or harms a person in this world and the next, the duties of servitude, and social dealings, and then to see that what is learned is put into practice. A madrasa student’s day begins in the middle of the night with prayers and supplications accompanied by angels, and continues through the day, shaped by circles of dhikr and knowledge. Gathering learning from many different books in the Noble Qur’an, tafsir, hadith, creed, fiqh, tasawwuf, morphology, syntax, rhetoric and many other sciences, they turn their day into night. While studying these sciences, they cannot wait for the weekend to share with society what they have learned during the week. Finally, when the blessed journey is complete, they take up their true duty and are born anew as a new Mus’ab ibn ‘Umayr. Working night and day to leaven society, they serve their religion, their people, their homeland and their sacred values for a lifetime… The madrasa is therefore the name of the indispensable institution that forms the spiritual, moral and social foundations of the state and the nation, and prepares for society the people who will bring unity and vitality to the world.
